Tour
The tour provides an inspirational walk through the exhibition, where participants are invited to take photos with a camera and write down their thoughts in a notebook. At the end of the tour, the 'captured' images and observations will be used to create a personal and original work of art that can be taken away or left in a 'joint' exhibition space.

Inside out: in the artist’s mind
Tour / discovery
The tour / discovery offers reflections on how works of art, the concepts of artistic creation, sources of inspiration and copies come into being. The tour focuses on a selection of the works on display and concludes with the chance to conceive and carry out a personal work.
Suitable public: Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools.

A thousand and one materials to create a sculpture
Tour and laboratory
One of the most important elements in Marino Marini's work was his research into materials. The significance Marino attributes to materials in his sculpture will be investigated in a selection of the works on display: wood, local grey stone, clay, bronze, plaster, wax... The creative / practical laboratory will give participants the chance to create and carry out a personal work using the typical materials adopted by the sculptor.

Inspiration, models, archetypes
Tour
A guided tour of the exhibition that investigates the cultural elements contributing to the creation of a sculptor’s unique and personal style. Marino Marini’s work will be examined though the use of various interpretations that reflect what mainly inspired his style, without forgetting the effects of his work on the contemporary Italian and international artistic and cultural panorama.

TOUR OF THE CITY FOR SCHOOLS DURING THE EXHIBITION PERIOD

"Pistoia is an archaic and somewhat ironic city" (Egle Marini)
Tour of the city to visit places related to Marino Marini’s life or that contain his work. The Church of Sant'Andrea, the City Hall and the Civic Museum, the exterior of Marini's House in Piazza San Pietro, the Ancient Palace of the Bishops, the Marino Marini Museum and the Church of Tau.
N.b.: the two museum sites are excluded in the city walk.
Suitable public: Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools.
